Rogue and Carol - Dom and Cordelia's coffee place!
The cute girl with the cute gator stories was Carol's new favorite person (sorry Vic) and she was the only person keeping Carol remotely sane. They had formed a quick, easy bond in the couple of weeks since they'd met, and while Carol still wasn't sure if Rogue 'took after her moms', to phrase it delicately, Carol was like, drunk in her crush.
So when she invited Rogue for coffee in the late afternoon, it was a friend thing, but it also sort of wasn't; every minute felt like a date because Carol just wanted to kiss Rogue all the time. So she was sitting with her coffee and a gigantic cookie, and she was going to read a book and wait for Rogue, but the words had absolutely no meaning. So instead Carol looked at the cute blonde barista, and looked at the door to see if Rogue was coming in, and at the door again, and at the door again, and... well, you get the picture.

"Well I didn't get my name because I like to keep my nose out of things." Curiosity killed the cat, but it hadn't gotten Rogue yet. "I bet you have some good ones."
no subject
"So how did you get the name?" She asked, instantly. Because she was dying to know.
no subject
"My mama decided that Anna Marie was too nice of a name for a girl like me," she told Carol with a laugh. Rogue completely agreed.
no subject
"Anna Marie is such a pink frilly dress name," Carol agreed. Not that Carol was much better.
no subject
"Right? So it went right out the window."
no subject
"I like that. Taking charge of your own destiny."
no subject
Carol wasn't wrong; Rogue did a lot of that. Though destiny was a weird thing to think about, considering her mother's powers. "What secrets of yours should I know, then?"
no subject
"That this is how I look when I wake up in the morning?" she tried, with an innocent smile.
no subject
"Well that's no fair. Do little birds and mice do your hair while you sleep?"
no subject
"They totally do. we sing a song about it."
no subject
"Really? How does it go?"
no subject
"I can't tell you," Carol said solemnly. "You're not a bird."
no subject
"Well now I have to go home and cry into my pillow."
no subject
"You can cry into my shoulder," she grinned.
no subject
Rogue laughed. "I see how it is. You just want girls crying all over you."
no subject
"Not all girls," she protested. "Just the hottest one."
no subject
"Bubba's not really a crier."
no subject
"She's not my type."
no subject
"Well that's good. People tend to stare when you have an imaginary girlfriend."
no subject
"Did they stare when you had one?" She couldn't resist.
no subject
"It was awkward. My mamas weren't any help either, Raven was the one doing most of the staring."
no subject
"Raven is your mom?" Carol could never get away with calling her parents by their names.
no subject
"Raven and Irene, yeah." Their family was decidedly not like other families.
no subject
"That's cool. My dad would throw a fit if I called him by name."
